Both are possible, though I’d like to think her skill in, magic is more refined than that.
Okay then, but may be that time she just saving the energy so she didn’t use the same size forces field as her usual reflex.

I will admit that the premiere was actually pretty good. Even with Glimmer being forced into the cast, it still managed to be an entertaining-albeit predictable-episode.
Yeah thank you for repeating what I already said, we already know she wanted to be in control of everything but as she mentioned it’s also for her drones.
I think it’s his signature move.
Let’s not forget about the season six finale alternate timeline in which changelings did have complete control of he world, specifically the part where Chrysalis wanted to personally snuff out the resistance herself, in order to make certain that there wouldn’t be anything that could stop her. That pretty much proves how Chrysalis wanted her and her race to dominate all of Equestria.
She is not bad for the show though.
While that’s possible, I doubt it since she used far smaller shields in her fights against twilight.
Okay but I like my idea so I’m gonna stick with it if you want think it’s for total conquest that’s fine too.
Apologies. I do see it more as conquest-as-overarching-goal with feeding being step 1, though.
I don’t know if you fall into that camp, but I can’t see such violent methods for “feeding children” as enough to make people feel like Chrysalis did something right and is free of blame. Honestly, that sets me off.
And, as much as it could be about feeding children, she does mention conquest of Canterlot followed by Equestria not that long afterwards.
I disagree they have to feed and given their abilities usually infiltrate in small numbers and feed discretely but Chrysalis wanted to make changelings in control so they could feed anytime and not have to hide so yes she wanted power she wanted changelings to be the ones in control she even says “it’s the age of the changelings” and the moment celestia is incapacitated she tells her changelings to feed.
If you want to interpret it differently go right ahead but she makes it rather clear.

Seems pretty hard to believe that one would stage a seige and undergo a governmental coup as what is basically a succubus to infiltrate as a Trojan Horse (no pun intended) just to feed her children.
Yeah, I’m not doubting that Chrysalis was power-hungry; I’m doubting that Starlight Glimmer was more power-hungry than Chrysalis.
Okay I’ve actually somewhat agreed with you up until this point just stop she explained in detail why she did all that to feed her subjects and she had to get the biggest threats out of the way first she explains that in her monologue.

@Background Pony #EB43
Oh, great. We’re going to do this again…
And now I know you’ve never once been paying attention the entire time. Chrysalis was outrageously power crazed from the start, and if she wasn’t, then why exactly would she go through all the trouble of trying to steal the identity of Cadance, a princess? If she was really just interested in feeding her hive, then why would she go through all that trouble? Oh yeah, it’s because she CRAVED POWER.
When people say ‘get over it’, they usually mean ‘stop talking about it’.
>implying the fandom got over any of those other incidents
