Spike accelerated, going from a normal walking speed to a power walk, his niece lifted high above his head. The filly’s wings buzzed and the dragon could see her wide grin as she ‘flew’ through the halls of the castle.
“Look out, Sky Wishes,” he warned as they neared the end of the hall. “You’d better turn or we’re gonna crash.”
Spike turned, tilting the filly in his grasp as they rounded the corner. He made a sound for effect as they rounded the corner.
“Nnnnnyyyyyyaaaaoooooooo. Good job.”
A door they were about to pass suddenly opened, one of Twilight’s books floating out of it in front of the mare’s face. Spike dodged at the last second and Sky Wishes flew around her mother. The alicorn looked up, startled.
Feeling Sky Wishes turn, Spike rotated their flight path back, buzzing past Twilight a second time.
“Mommy!” Sky Wishes shouted.
Twilight suppressed a giggle. “Oh, no, I’m under attack!”
Spike placed the filly on Twilight’s back and Twilight feigned defeat, falling to the floor. “Uuuuuugh!”
Sky Wishes giggled, bouncing on Twilight a couple of times. “I got you, Mommy.”
Twilight opened one eye. “Did you now? Are you sure? Maybe I got you!”
The alicorn grabbed her daughter, attacking her with an arsenal of kisses and raspberries. The filly’s peals of laughter echoed through the halls.
Spike grinned and sat down, happy to watch as the family enjoyed themselves.
To answer your first question, spoiler.
For the second, Star Catcher absolutely has to be her BFF. I was planning on making her Shining and Cadence’s second child, but after last week’s episode, I’m holding off on the kids of our favorite royal couple for a little while. It still might work out or I might go a different route.
And will she ever meet any version of Star Catcher?
Don’t worry. Twi didn’t get knocked up. And while I haven’t really figured out the timing of Sky Wishes with the other mane six kids, she’s definitely young enough that a good chunk of them are older than her, and they all have fathers. Add to that her uncles Spike and Shining and I’m sure she’ll be fine.
Besides, I have never said I don’t ship Flashlight. It’s just that with how superficial is it right now I’m waiting to see what happens. The headcanon is flexible enough for Flash to enter the picture later if I decide to jump off the fence.
Anywho, nice to see that Spike is a part of her life.
