That is honestly very funny. I mean, no one would believe it and I have no idea why they even attempted it.

These investors sound dumb.
Sadly.
Research, evidence, and historically-informed analysis can fight ignorance only when people value knowledge. The problem is that human beings are wired to chase what they associate with pleasure, and to shun what they associate with discomfort. Recall the dot-com bubble. Recall the housing bubble. Investors, given enough pleasure in the moment, will find rationalizations that allow them to maintain ignorant bliss, even if the long-term consequences are repeatedly devastating.

In case you haven’t heard, the FCC has faked something in the neighborhood of 50,000 comments in support of the repeal. One of fakes is “from” Obama.
No really. There’s comments from dead people on their site. You might want to dig around and see if you or your family “commented” as well.

Don’t worry, I’m not even American so my family’s name won’t even come up.
But still, seriously? To the FCC:

That was pretty well known before they did the vote.
But hey, they also ignored the experts who said it was a bad idea, the majority of people (on both sides of the political spectrum) who called and wrote in rejecting it, the congressmen who objected to it, and pretty much every reasonable piece of opposition. What’s a few dead people or stolen identities in the mix as well?

Man, who knew Obama hated what Obama did about Net Neutrality.
Wow. Just, wow.
Well you can’t really blame Ajit for missing that. He’s a busy guy. He had to film that video about how the repeal wouldn’t affect your ability to post food on Instagram and do the Harlem Shake and other stuff the young people he thinks he’s connecting with do in 2017.

Brief Comment
The unprecedented regulatory power the Obama Administration imposed on the internet is smothering innovation, damaging the American economy and obstructing job creation. I urge the Federal Communications Commission to end the bureaucratic regulatory overreach of the internet known as Title II and restore the bipartisan light-touch regulatory consensus that enabled the internet to flourish for more than 20 years. The plan currently under consideration at the FCC to repeal Obama’s Title II power grab is a positive step forward and will help to promote a truly free and open internet for everyone.

I’m trying to figure out why he thought the Harlem Shake was still relevant.
Like that meme is about 4 years old or something? And even when it was still new people hated it.
Why not a relevant meme song?

Perhaps he thinks it’s still relevant. Perhaps he thinks he’s super hip and good at connecting with the youth of today. Perhaps he thinks young people won’t notice what he’s doing if he distracts them with one of their memes. Who really knows how that man’s head works.

So, you could probably guess this pretty easy, and it might even be a fairly cliche thing to say, but Donald Trump is my least favorite person in the world.
Everything from his policies largely designed to benefit the rich, to his racist rhetoric, to his brainwashed rabid supporters, to his warmongering, and his pathological lying is enough to make my blood boil every time I think of him.
I’ve never felt the same level of vindictiveness in my life for one person. The fact that a lot of people still support/defend him makes me loose hope in humanity.

What do you like about Trump though? All I’ve seen and heard about him doing is stuff that benefits the rich.
I don’t hate all Trump supporters by the way, I just think they’re… deeply misguided.

Their might be people worse than Trump, but he’s still the one I hate the most partially due to the fact that he’s in such a high position of authority and has more potential to do long term damage than any other of the people out there I dislike.

People say i’m “Too easy on Trump” and “i don’t rag on him enough.” I’ve heard it a lot during the election and post election. With almost 1 year since the inauguration, he hasn’t impressed me. I never thought highly about him to begin with. I’m also someone who never thought highly about Barack Obama during his second term. And that’s really how i feel with most politicians and presidents. A lot of false promises and false hope. For me, the Trump train has derailed a long time ago, and the Trump hype is over.
And for the record, the reason why i’m so “Chill” about it, is because i don’t want to stoop down to some people who hate his guts and do a lot of distasteful things to express that hate. I don’t want to be a guy who retweets and likes pictures with Trump’s severed head being held. In other words, i don’t want to stoop down to a levels of a Kathy Griffin.

You’re right about most politicians in general being garbage, but Trump just troubles me more so than any other politician I’ve seen…
Personally I think the hate is justified, even Kathy Griffin’s stunt I had no issues with.

you had no issues with her showing a mock decapitated head of the current president? What would you say if that happened to Obama? Or Bill Clinton?

Let me tell you guys a little story about a guy named Jimmy Savile, he is one of the most prolific rapist in British History and committed over hundreds of sexual assaults
During his lifetime, many have tried to call him out for it. The problem ? They were discredited, ignored and insulted
It was only after he died that people started to take the allegations seriously
Because of society’s treatment of sexual assault survivors, Jimmy Savile never got any punishment for what he did
And you people wonder why sexual assault survivors are so afraid to come out ?
This is why #MeToo is important, so that sexual assault survivors aren’t afraid to come out in fear of society insulting and degrading them

That would depend on the context.
But the band Gwar killed a puppet of Obama on stage a few times back in the day So it’s not unheard of, of course though it was done more for shits and giggles than any sort of political reason, as they this to Trump and Hillary too, and I think Bush as well. But no, I’d have no issues with someone pretending to kill Obama for a stunt in of itself. The context would certainly make a more of a difference though, cause a lot of the hate for Obama back in the day did have racist undertones to it. (Like with Birtherism.)
I don’t like any of the presidents, Trump just happens to be the worst of all the recent presidents in my opinion, or at least tied with George W. Bush.
