I think the main difference for me is that I enjoy all the overly complicated villain plots, villainous monologues, Rainbow Dash becoming a damsel in distress, nonsensical death traps and general lack of logic because I appreciate them as a send up of the genre.

Maybe the CMC will get Rumble to change his ways by getting DT and SS to take the piss out of him.

This is one of the problems with secondaries that don’t often get speaking roles in the show.  
Their voices and personalities tend to be inconsistent.

The realization that the CMC who used to be bullied by DT and SS for their lack of cutie marks are now being picked on for having cutie marks.  
Rumble, the reverse DT.

I think it’s still the same one from Twilight Time and Crusaders of the Lost Mark, but I could be wrong.

I kind of would like to see this happen. That the CMC need to go to DT to get her to help persuade the campers who have gone with Rumble to see that having a Cutie Mark isn’t so bad. And then they learn the lesson they’ve been learning over and over, that it’s fine to go without a cutie mark and it will appear in it’s own time and that you shouldn’t rush your puberty metaphor to the point where it’s become an intertangeled continuity snarl where one episode it represents your destiny, the next being your personality and then another a symbol of your own personal discovery.

I’m liking this idea.

I can’t help but wonder if the pre-marked CMCs would have gone along with Rumble if he decided to pull this stunt prior to season 5.

Its almost like the writing for this show is basic and inconsistent.
