This. Both princesses are great in their own ways, and everyone has their own opinions. I have a favorite princess, but I think Celestia and Luna are both amazing. We don’t need a “war” as to whose better because it really doesn’t matter.

Kinda wonder if the OG pony fans hate or hated bronies back then. Honestly I can’t really blame them, especially with how the fandom is nowadays

For a fandom of a show that revolves around friendship and stuff, it (the fandom) sure is full of dramas and controversies, and I can’t decide whether to blame the writers or the fandom.

The writers didn’t ask for any of this.

So all the AI images will be removed tomorrow and I just feel bad cause all the good comments will be deleted. Everything has been preserved on Tantabus, but there will be some pretty rich comments lost. I’ve made some of those too.

I’m kind of losing interest in all the pony porn myself. It just feels artificial.

I remember OG pony fans complaining about how bronies were trying to sexualise everything, how racist they were (God help you of you decided to make any of the M6 non-white back then) and just in general being really cringe and creepy

I know its not fair to judge the whole fandom based on the bad examples, but yeah OG pony fans did not have a good first impression on bronies

Fandom is still active with tons of members even if its not at its “peak” anymore, people are still making content for it, there are still a lot of dedicated pony conventions

Though lets be honest, g1 fans probably mostly disliked g4 fans for much more personal reasons.

G4 fans always bragged how their generation was the superior one. And for gen 1 fans that was probably really annoying.

So theres an axe to grind with the “tourists” of Mlp who trash talked the generation the older fans liked.

Agreed, the writers get scapegoated way too often

I remember encountering this rhetoric of ‘I don’t see the brony fandom everywhere, therefore it must be dead!’ like 5 years ago, when the show was coming to an end. And it’s like…just because it’s not the biggest thing in the world anymore, it doesn’t mean it’s gone. Like people seem incapable of understanding that fandoms tend to hit all-time peak numbers, and then slowly decrease over the years. Rick and Morty isn’t as popular now as its Season 3 era, is that suddenly a dead fandom?

Fadoms hardly ever die, to be honest. They may wane over time, and then wax again over a period, but they will always exist among the faithful, so for sure the Brony fandom is no exception to that rule.

Well, the fandom doesn’t have a great reputation, and it’s nowhere near as big as it was. It’s so weird that the Golden Age of the fandom was almost 15 years ago.
