misty thread

thought I would make a thread about misty who is well, more misunderstood then a true villain

just a couple rules

note: may add or change rules later

My custom title pretty much speaks for itself.

Y’know, maybe we’ll have a future episode that’ll have the rather punny “Misty-fied” somewhere in the title.

would be great if the episode even shows her young, mainly how opaline took her in, while being just a filly

When I saw her crying in episode 8, I just wanted to reach in and hug her. But, of course, I’m stopped by the barrier that is my computer screen.

yeah it’s sometimes sad to see that a loving and cute character is not really there.

I’m still getting used to her voice but I really like her.

I hope this happens instead of Misty betraying Opaline who turns out to be another one of Discord’s disguises then Misty is the true main villain and gets turned to stone, because that would suck.

I agree, I would not like it if she’s acting this way just to get what she wants.

And I wouldn’t like it if they killed off another hyped villain by turning her into a joke with a dumb twist just because they wanted Misty to be the true main antagonist because “she had more of a personal connection to the mane 5”. As awful as Hasbro is at writing (should have ended FiM back in season 5 and just go back to making toys after that), they should at least learn from their mistakes.

Do you think Misty is intended to come across as “black”?

Her hairstyle could be taken as ethnic by modern American audiences and her actress (Bahia Watson), while ambiguously pale and ambiguously Canadian, has played other black characters in animation.

However, her voice and demeanor are pretty much the same as any other average horse in her position, so I dunno.
