@Itsthinking Pretty much that. If they hadn’t given up on IDW being worth a damn before, they sure have now. At most there’ll be a short twitter rampage and that’ll be it. Not like they give a shit about making decent comics if they only enjoy visiting echo chambers anyway.

The writer of the last arc, Katie Cook, is not there though.

No, but Heather Breckle the colorist and Bobby Curnow the editor are. And I’m sure they talk amongst themselves. I wouldn’t be surprised if Cook lurks certain forums as well.

Maybe everyone will be too distracted by Plushiegate to give them any trouble.

@Background Pony #8A9F Nyeh, she probably sits back with popcorn and Discord-laughs judging by all the meta-dodge crap in this arc… I have had absolutely nil trust in them as a company since Nightmarity. I wonder if Transformers has the same problems right now, I only ever collected the toys and the show for that, no extraneous stuff like with MLP and GI Joes.
 
@Bolan This is honestly shaping up to be one of the best war-catalysts ever. Save all the fics you want to read from Fimfic though, it may be going down for a couple of weeks! I went and downloaded all FoE-related fics right after I saw him appear in /mlp/ just in case. By the time I finish them (I only ever read the original and eugh Horizons, that was a mistake) they should have recovered from the ddos and the bad press.

If the only places he tends to visit are Seth-must shill everything-isto’s Equestria Daily, the Round “You have a problem with something pony related? Lalalalalala We Can’t HE~AR You! Hater!” Stable and “professional” review sites (read: IGN but for comics), then I’m not really surprised that Bobby basically only sees praise.
 
I saw a comic review site give this arc a 9/10 in addition to pointing out almost every single flaw that this site did. “It was okay, definite buy 9/10 A+” wat?

Dudes, has it occurred to you that maybe you ARE the Loud Minority?

I’m sure most people here understand they’re nowhere near the vast majority, but common sense isn’t something to be dictated by anything like this.
 
besides, you can offer some opinions too or thoughts if you’re referring to us, not just point out some obscure fact like it means something to anyone other than you. Since I’m not you, I have no idea what you’re trying to get at with us being the “loud minority” as you mentioned.

@platypusmac Has it occurred to you complacency leads to the death of creativity and the stagnation of a medium just as much as a repressive government and we’re trying to prevent something we love from becoming the next Marvel or DC Mainline? Also I doubt they would listen to criticism from even the demo, brushing them off as ‘too young to know what professionals go through’ or some ageist junk like that. 31% of Toywiz kids voted twilicorn as a horrible idea before any bronies caught wind of their poll. (naturally it sank to about 80% afterwards) More than a loud minority, this season and last is more emblematic of ‘tyranny by the majority,’ especially when controversy erupts.

“Loud minority” is basically the opposite of “Silent majority”: where one is a large amount of people content wirh stating their opinion quietly, or even not stating it at all, the other is a small amount of people making enough ruckus for a group many times its size.  
Basically, the members of a Loud Minority post everywhere their opinion, in ways that range from “polite, detailed yet insisting” to “foaming, berserking raging tirade”. Luckily, most “Louds” in the MLP community are closer to the former than to the latter - with exceptions, of course.
 
Mind you, my “maybe” means also that maybe I belong to the minority (although I’m not very loud) and don’t know it. It’s a matter of perspective.

Dude, sometimes “complacency” and “acceptance” are NOT one and the same.  
“Complacency” is being mellow and hoping that something bad will simply go away (Joe Quesada, anyone?), while “Acceptance” is realizing that no matter how vocally you express your opinion, many more will have the opposite opinion - and chilling down a bit (for example, whenever I see Lobo on a DC Comics cover, I simply leave the shop and go back to read Silver Age Batman, because I know that the mime-faced pile of garbage isn’t going anywhere, no matter how much I rant about it.)
 
Some people like “Reflections”. Some don’t. It’s all good.
 
Mind you, I’m one who pretty much enjoyed everything the show and comic offered - up to, and including, Twilicorn, Flash Sentry and so on and so forth.
