Yes. Reports are the proper forum. It’s private and puts your issue in the moderation queue, ensuring it will get seen. If your issue requires discussion, a staff member will send you a PM. Threads are great for many things but running task management isn’t one of them.

I’m getting really tired of people (often BPs but not always) posting images tagged as “edit”, but no source or artist information or anything in sight. Can we just straight delete those images? Because reporting them is pointless; mods can’t must magically figure out those missing sources, and the users doing these mystic edits rarely respond to any questions.

the old report did say artist links, it said “Need my artist links updated to reflect new username” right at the beginning

The name associated with the artist links was updated. No links were provided. Staff are not going to be able to decipher you meant the offsite accounts when you say your name changed.

Is there a tag for images that are people redrawing AI generated images?

I’ve seen a few images where someone redraws an AI image in their own style but idk if there is a tag for this

i’ve found a tag that seems to fit what im looking for, AI Interpretation
Images under it seem to be for people drawing AI images under their own style from scratch, rather then editing/drawing on top of an AI image

Hmmm … I’m used to that term being used more in the data warehousing world.

It’s ok if people want to add that as an additional tag.

But, I don’t actually have the ai interpolation anywhere on my radar. So, for here, if people could tag them as I suggested, that would help with copyright questions and takedowns.

ai assisted + edit + editor:* or artist:* depending on how transformative it is, and then it works with our policies and fits into the tags that we’re working with the most.

Like this image as an example. Image has an AI generation on it, and also has the artist completely redrawing said image from scratch in their own style, without editing the original image

I’ve seen a lot of artists do their own takes/redraws on AI generated images, i feel like a tag related to this might be helpful for those wanting to see artist redrawing AI images instead of just editing the orignal AI image

Interpretation does sound like a good tag for that, but given that the final work is 100% human made I don’t know if “AI” needs to be a part of it. It’s the artist’s interpretation that’s important, not that the original image was generated.

But, that’s just me. Maybe ai interpretation will become a fad :)

On those images, I also see another similarly low-use tag, neuredraw - clever, but I would favor something else.

In the past, I had suggested machine learning reference (which I guess now would be ai reference) to fit the phrasing of the existing screencap reference tag. I’d also noticed that while I didn’t see a dedicated tag for it, a lot of posts of that type are just tagged redraw

That tag looks like it’s not being used the way it’s supposed to be, based on its description.

I’ve used it in the past and recently, but I’m not sure about all of those either - I think it’s supposed to be based on screencaps (though I have used it myself for arts not based on screencaps).

There definitely needs to be a hard line drawn between ai content / ai assisted and ai interpretation– and uploaders encouraged with truncheons to use them correctly– because that’s a rad-ass image and I wouldn’t have seen it if you hadn’t commented on it because I have anything with the stink of AI “art” on it either hidden or spoilered.

I really think the tags we have are working - I don’t feel those three images need any new tags just for them.

Mods Ik this isn’t really “asking anything” but a ton of tags have been recently vandalized i think is the proper term a few examples are “Flutter Doo” “Skyble” “Marblederp” and “Bluesentry” it’s super just annoying to see some weird shit when I click a character tag

This is just the work of one person (who, by all appearances, is also one singularly deranged individual).
They swing by every few weeks to pull their shit, get banned and their vandalism removed, until the next time they come back, rinse and repeat, etc.
Not much that the mods can do about it, except to be on the lookout to put the kibosh on it ASAP whenever it happens (the disturbance they cause usually lasts less than an hour, a couple tops in the worst cases like this one).

I really, really wish the devs/admins would expand the ability to expunge tag change history to work on large scales, and clear that garbage, both going forward and retroactively - though the admins don’t think that’s worthwhile.
