What happened in September and January?

Well, better for it to hold steady than increase, I guess. Personally I’d rather it start dropping, but I doubt that’ll happen anytime soon.

I hope it gets implemented soon. It legitimately feels like the percentage of clop on my watched list that’s AI-made has been over 50% for the past two months. It would be nice to play around with various search strings to see if any specific tag is particularly heavy with AI. SFW art on my watched list has been in line with that graph, probably topping out at no more than 10% most days.

Your stats really make me wish doing such queries was easier to automate. I swear that the porn in my watched list has been nearly 100% computer-generated horse pussy, but there’s still plenty of SFW art drawn by humans. Is this just a statistical artifact of the tags I follow, or a real dearth of human-made clop?

I wouldn’t be surprised if younger people used AI disproportionately more so that probably is the case to some degree.
Part of that is likely because if they don’t have any drawing skills yet then that’s one way to do things if they want to show off their characters (I mean just look at all the Pony Town or ponycreator uploads people have done in the past which are tools for people in a similar way).
Part of it could also be though that younger generations are always more open to new ideas and whatnot and more willing to pick up such things vs say someone in their 30s who is already skilled at one method of producing art and less willing to change.

After all I don’t think anyone would be surprised to find that say most computer users in general are younger people (well maybe not quite as much these days with how widespread tech is, but certainly in the earlier days of the internet when it was a newer thing). That’s just how it be.

Beyond that there may be some inverse factor though, like yeah AI stuff rose in that period but the number of images total seemed to drop month to month other than in August, so perhaps some factor also caused fewer artists to upload things in general. Maybe a lot of artists are actually people in education (like college) and summer break is not free time but rather time they have to spend working another job. Who knows.

I think it’s just that there are more and more AI-generated NSFW images being uploaded and the number of human-made ones is the same or less.

Your hypothesis is sensible. I just wish it were easier to obtain the numbers to test it. It could even vary with the genre of NSFW art—I have most anthro, EqG, and SFM filtered out on my watched page. Perhaps those have less AI predominance.

Not that this distinction matters that much, but I typically see older people using and supporting AI artwork online. Younger audiences, especially those involved in fandom, are typically involved with fan-created media in their communities to where they understand that creating any creative work with AI would be frowned upon by their peers.

However, they tend to make a exception for allowing the use of AI if they find the product funny. Shitty AI songs with weird lyrics and the like. Just a random observation.

Though on this one it’s interesting that there is a slight bump for millennials in some spots, perhaps due to being more familiar with technology compared to Gen Z in some ways and thus perhaps a bit better able to appreciate the technology (Gen Z grew up with technology more but the heavy dominance of smartphones often leads that generation to actually know less about more “traditional” computer stuff).

What are the odds that some of the early days jank videos from Hailuo AI or Luma misfires would be removed for low-quality vs. preserved as a historic curiosity?

That Luma example, in particular, seems janky enough to earn a machine learning abomination tag (what I’ve played around with in Hailuo has been less derpy but also pretty boring: mostly just characters standing or walking while their mouth make the talking animation).

Because I pointed out that a shitload of the Aislop on here very obviously is created with custom AIs trained on very specific artists that anyone with two eyes could see. All while the rules supposedly dont allow this. I wasnt aware Im not allowed to complain about the site not adhering to its own standards if i dont do the work for moderation.
