Not really. Because it’s not editing over the original. You can still get the original on DVD or digital, and ignore the remake.

Yeah, although I dislike the remakes, I have to agree with this. Now if they were removing the original from streaming platforms and pushing the remake, then I’d get antsy. (In other words–pulling a Lucas.)

You sure? I think it boils down to budget issues for the company as a whole. Animation does take more time and money to produce than a cheap live action show. Thing is, I can’t imagine how Warner Bros is that strapped for cash that they need to go on a cartoon killing spree.

They acquired a $50 Billion dollar debt when Discovery bought them from AT&T, who is also to blame for the current situation the company is in, and Zaslav is trying to save 3 Billion by next year. WB and Discovery content is getting cut left and right.

You have to stop generalizing people, not every executive is the same. The higher-ups at Cartoon Network were against the purge, and warned WBD not to do it as it would hurt the relationship between creators/talent. But Discovery ignored them.

Apparently Nick Animation has been reaching out to HBO animation staff after the layoffs.

I had to look that up for Johnny Bravo, since i couldn’t remember anything about him being a puny weakling anymore, but that’s a weird part of the description to have when its really just a small part of one episode.
