I mean, I think it’s important to remember that any show that’s ever been made never really “goes away”, the episodes just become reruns, which you can still enjoy. Sure they stop making new episodes after it ends but a show can still have a loyal or cult following even decades after it ends.
Lots of people still fondly remember the original Star Trek series even though it was made way back in the 1960’s and only lasted 3 seasons, and moreover it still gets younger generations discovering it and becoming fans of it.
This is also happening with MLP G4 and I still see merchandise for it just about everywhere I go. It’s not going away and it never will. G5 and the earlier generations that came before 4 are less popular, I’ll admit, but even those will still always have fans.
Every so often I like to go back to a random show I used to enjoy in my youth. Currently I’ve been diving back into watching The Super Mario Bros. Super Show. That show is fun to watch even if it is kinda cheesy (both the cartoon and live-action segments) and it still makes me feel like a kid again every time I watch it~ Aside from being able to watch the episodes on Youtube, people still make videos talking about it which shows that people still love it, and that’s good enough for me.
The fun doesn’t have to end just because the show’s production does.
