No, they saved that form emulators and ROMs of their old games in recent years. Oh, and you heard of game of the year editions? They are games with all the DLC included. Their way of preventing sharing those is to include one-time codes that you need to enter to access said DLC.

Same as any other app - if someone’s using the same account on five different devices on five different continents, then that’s probably either a shared or hacked account.

Of course, it’s not that easy. Proxies can make that hard to figure out for sure, and people do travel.

But if three of those uses of the same account are watching 3 different movies at the same time, and it’s not a ‘family plan’, then that’s a pretty good indication the account’s been shared or hacked.

It made Netflix lose millions of subscribers and thus it led to a domino effect of business decisions that will lead to a possible future bankruptcy amid people hating them, such as:

-Canceling projects
-Downsizing the animation division
-Refusal of theatrical releases
-Refusal of impatience-normalizing weekly releases
-Password sharing crackdowns

None of this would have happened if Netflix didn’t pick up the rights to that film.

The movie is dogshit, don’t get me wrong, but I doubt it had anything to do with Netflix’s password sharing fiasco. With the way that these companies fetishize constant growth, it was bound to happen eventually.

Hence why I wish it was outlawed before piracy becomes more prevalent and more services lose more subscribers.

Although yes, that practice made Netflix gain more subscribers, but there should be other ways to regain subscribers other than preventing people from sharing accounts.

I think you are examining a very poor sample because I don’t know of anyone who actually likes the fact pass word sharing is restricted and in general finds it very annoying. Or continues to find a way to share an account.

Really wish any of the cartoon sites had an Android TV app, although I now use Kodi for those that aren’t on the services I subscribed to, aka TMNT, Transformers and anime that are stuck on Crunchyroll using the WatchCartoonsOnline addon.
