Not necessarily. I just prefer it if the heroes have to suffer and make sacrifices to defeat the bad guys. A villain who does no damage to anyone isn’t threatening.  
And massacring redshirts doesn’t count. Kill some actual characters, then we’ll talk.

I’ve been thinking about the Coke commercial. And my reasons for disliking it are because it was sappy.

I know that every culture deserves representation, but they need to make sure they do it properly. Otherwise, people like me would take it more as offensive. I’m hard to offend myself, though.

Depends on the story, but yeah, a lot of stories that would’ve worked better with a sad ending than with the happy ending that they got.

Unpopular opinion:  
For racial slurs we should just do what the japanese with the 日本 鬼子 slur and take what was originally a racial slur and turn it into a moe character.
 
Basically the chinese had a racial slur against japanese and in turn the japanese turned the slur into this-  

 
That’s one way of completely voiding slurs, just turn said slur into a fappable character.

 
This little shit right here? His name is Afro-ken. And his anime was mindless, ridiculous, something meant to sell toys and do nothing else…yet I think it was the most fun I’ve had watching an anime for a while.
 
My point here is that it seems we are moving toward a point where a lot of shows in general have to have deeper meaning to it to please fans - darkness running underneath innocence, all of that. I think we need to remember how to have good, clean fun in a show.

What I mean to say is, even if you make the argument that both thought currents run on the true basis that every decision is unconsecuential to the rest of the universe, they doen’t promote rationality but rather detachment.
 
Being rational means everything has consequences and even the smallest decision can generate a snowball for a greater chance.
 
Just because the universe is too big for us to comprehend and we are just a tiny particle, doesn’t mean that the consequences of your actions won’t have reprecussion in the third dimension your molecules decided to form.

Tv show adaptations need to be shorter. I don’t mean all tv show adaptations of stuff; rather if what it’s based off of isn’t finished yet or if they’re not sure it’s going to be popular enough to warrant a second season trying to fit in EVERYTHING the shows tend to fall apart towards the end. A lot of shows have good premise for them, but they fall in a common trap for tv shows in that they try to stretch it out for multiple seasons. Don’t assume you’re going to get a AAA budget cause for all you know it could get cancelled halfway through no matter how good it is cough.sfx Firefly cough.sfx. It’s better to wrap your junk up for the story than to go, “so when are we going to get the budget for the next season?” and management going, “When did we ever say anything about another season?”.
