I haven’t had too much trouble commenting on various old public domain films shared there. Then again the fans of them seem to be a fairly mellow crowd, especially if you show some affection for the films.
 
Normally though, we are agreed on YouTube.

Boy that’s jacked-up… (Reminds me of a guy who used to spread nasty rumors on DA about me, telling others I was a “troll.” He later apologized for it, once ironically he started getting a bad reputation instead.)
 
It’s sad too, ’cause Youtube used to be such a friendly, and fun place.

I’ve had a troll on my trail for about a week now who’s been finding all of my comments and writing nasty stuff on them. Like how I should kill myself, and that my parents regret my birth, garbage like that. I keep blocking him, and he keeps coming back. You know why this started? Because I told him that I didn’t understand his response on one of my comments. That’s literally it.
 
It’s such a toxic environment.

Tell me about it, I don’t even comment on Youtube videos much anymore they’ve become so over-run with trolls, and annoying people… It’s becoming almost impossible to have any intelligent conversations, or give any feedback on a video there now.
 
I remember seeing the same guy commenting on all of Nintendo’s official Youtube videos over, and over again complaining about how Nintendo aren’t as “great” as they were in the “GameCube days,” rant about how they hate every new game they make, (or the game in said videos) and such.  
It’s amazing how dedicated some of these trolls are.

But you can really say that of any fad. There’s always people who take it too far. I think it’s worth it for the positive benefits.
 
Also, there’s just something about Youtube’s format that makes people want to viciously rip at each other.

It does get annoying when they do it in public, do it to often though. So I can understand the annoyance with “selfies.” (It’s almost as bad as people walking by texting on their phones, not watching where they’re going.)
 
I think some fans get to overly-protective of their favorite characters, which is why some take these jokes to seriously. (I’ve taken heat on DA for making drawings poking fun at characters before myself, ironically they are mostly ones I like.)  
I imagine he would’ve gotten it worse if it was Spike. (Considering the recent Spike drama.)
 
I drew a pic of the CMC tied to a cartoony rocket before, that doesn’t mean I hate the CMC. I actually adore them. Sometimes it’s fun just to portray your favorite characters in funny/silly situations, or make them the “butt” of the joke.

I can’t really get mad at a “fad” that makes girls see how beautiful they are.
 
Still, though, a shame that some people can’t take a joke. I thought that this scene was funny.

The animator stated he did this gag, because he dislikes the whole “cellphone selfies” fad. lol
 
He has nothing against Scootaloo, (he even made a pic showing the aftermath, showing Scoots survived, though has a wooden leg now) though somebody on his Youtube comments got really mad about this scene unsurprisingly. (Some can’t take a joke.)
