Actually, her hedgehog cutie mark reflects her strength. It represents the Hedgehog’s Dilemma. It basically states that people are sometimes scared of being intimate with others due to fears they will accidentally hurt them, just like hedgehogs and porcupines aren’t able to cuddle or be near one another due to their spines/quills.
Basically, she’s shy and withdrawn because she’s afraid she’s hurt somepony due to her abnormally-super strength. Her eye-shape (similar to other shy ponies like Fluttershy and Coco) reflects that.
And people say she has a hedgehog because of Sonic…come on…

She’s based on a prior gen earthie called Posey, but I don’t know where you’re getting super strength from.
 
I have no idea. It’s not on the wiki, but I feel like I read it somewhere…  
I’m just going to assume I remember it incorrectly for the time being.
