This was me I forgot to log in.
I love combiners, my favorite being Devistator. I look forward to the Combiner Wars Constructicons box set coming out in the fall.
To each there own. I have no favorite generation I just try to find what I like about each iteration.
RID is such a let down from Transformers Prime. I can’t find anything I like about the show. I hope it either gets better or ends early.
I myself have never been much of a combiners fan… They always looked so flimsy to me…
But, I have to say as a combiner, Predaking is looking pretty damed solid. Now if thats do to improved toymaking, or by proxy of being masterpiece grade? I wouldn’t know.
As for me I’ma G1-fag FOR LIFE! And I accept no substitutions. I’m currently finishing up Cybertron (Galaxy Force)… And about the (Optimus = Firetruck IS STILL A TRUCK BTW!), only bits i’ve enjoyed so far was the G1 shoutout to Thunder Cracker… Ok so its more like G1.75, and a half. Compared to most everyone else… Even Hotshot, who just appeared a year earlier in Energon (Superlink), He [Thundercraker], was the most recognizable…. To me…
And then there was Walkman Soundwave & Lazerbeek. Which Sideways was playing some jams on the Atlantis, that made me go yaah!
About the worst TF I’ve seen up to now is RiD 2015… Bumbelnutz is the defacto leader, tasked with trapping / the recapturing of the most terminally dim of Decepticons EVER! Calling these Guys Monster of the Week types… Is actually rather insulting to the real MsotW. Though it is somewhat good to see ‘em switching back to a nearly flat 2D Cell Animation again. i just hope that if, when the Story continues… It’ll get better then this!
The G1 designs are great but I like to see some characters get a new alt mode every now and then. If it were up to me I’d keep Megs as some Cybertronian war vehicle/weapon as a way to symbolise him refusing to conform to something that isn’t of his precious Cybertron. Also, wasn’t Optimus a fire truck at some point?
I saw a review for TF-03 the other day and I think they knocked it out of the park. I absolutely adore the Mastermind Creation Feral Rex/Predaking.
This is where we’ll fail to ever agree…. Megs IS A GUN! Always has, and always will! Anything other can be Galvatron for what I care! Its like turning Optimus Prime into a Space Shuttle… YOU JUST DON’T DO THAT! I still cringe at that Doge RAM Truck version they made of him… But, at least he was still kind of a Truck.
On that note I forgot to add FT-03 (Shockwave) to my list!
I find the legs to be a bit too skinny for him, though he probably still is the most show-accurate Megs so far. I personally quite like the Generations Combiner Wars Leader Class Megs.
I honestly have no idea what your talking about? About the only bad thing about ‘ol Megs is that hes NOT based on the Deluxe Man from U.N.C.l.E. (Hasbro Edition), but, just the standard Jap version without the Stock, and Silencer / Barrow. Otherwise I’d say this was the most show accurate Megs ever.
The legs on Megs kills it for me.
More like MP-05 (Megatron), MP-11 (Starscream), and MP-13 (Soundwave)… For me!!
