@LuminoZero
I never said I didn’t understand why they don’t like the episodes. I just disagree.
If there’s anything I don’t understand, it’s how with certain episodes and, apparently, the comic, why we can’t just say “I didn’t like it (and here’s why)” and not take that extra step into “It’s bad (and I can prove it!)”
I find most of Season 1 to be boring as hell, but I’m not going to question how people managed to stay awake through it. I’m saving my outrage for when it really matters. Oh, it’s coming. I don’t know when, but it’s coming.
I was quoting you because you said you couldn’t understand why people didn’t like the episode. Writing characters contrary to their established personalities and quirks is BAD writing. It’s the kind of crap you would have seen in those old girl entertainment shows, where all characters were just one trait to an insane extreme.
People liked MLP because of the writing. Take that away, and you’re left with the same kind of pointless crap passed for “Girl’s Entertainment” ten years ago.
@Lock247
Really hate that they’re hated since I’ve found both of those episodes very enjoyable. People make too big a deal out of “out of character-ness.”
@LuminoZero
While I no longer read the comics, I do enjoy the older issues and will say this in agreement with you: You want an example of how something being canon does not automatically make it good? The Mysterious Mare Do Well and Spike At Your Service, two of the most widely hated episodes in the show {If not THE most hated}, are canon. The latter even got referenced in Trade Ya!. Meanwhile, there are plenty of good fanfics {And some IDW comics} that are obviously non-canon. Whether or not something is canon doesn’t affect the quality of said work. So yes, “The comics aren’t canon!” is not a good criticism.
I don’t know why people give a shit about canon, it’s a fucking tv show, comic book and toy line, whatever you want to be canon is canon, what does it fucking matter.
Since when has something being canon or not meant you could enjoy it or not? Why do people have this idiotic mindset that if something isn’t canon, it is automatically bad?
Yes, IDW comics have made some screw ups in recent history, but the lion’s share of their stuff is actually quite good. You don’t like it, don’t read it, but stop acting like “not canon” is a legitimate criticism.
@Moonlightglimmer
Well, FF series is usually not so bad, especially in comparison with latest main series… RD/Trixie and RD/Spitfire was really worth reading, and some of the others too!
surprised people still deal with this bullshit comic, its really only a illustrated fanfic. None of this is canon nor will it ever be. Most instances the show completely ignores it, so its just some dude making up stories that will never tie into the show for the one and only reason of snagging money. Yet tards out there will swear by the comics as canon.
right because everyone who likes something you don’t like, usually because of fandom-related semipolitical reasons, is a retard
Your righteous indignation will never matter. Nobodies ever does. Also, the reason why is because ‘Good’ and ‘Bad’ are very subjective measurements.
I think the Nightmare Rarity story arc is good, many people disagree. Am I right? Are they right? Who can say?
Acting like you speak the ‘truth’ is just pretentious.

90% of everything is crap. Go find the 10%. I promise it’s out there.

That’s exactly how the fandom writes it’s ‘beloved’ BG ponies.

And I agree, so… yeah. Thanks for randomly quoting me, I guess.

Stop enjoying things I don’t enjoy!
¡JAJAJAJAJAJAAJA!
Big Mac doesn’t seem very impressed either
This does not bode well.
@Masem
“Yes, to all!”
They had her do it way back in Micro #1
I just need to ask this.
