Spike looks like a girl in this picture. I like dark skinned girls.
Haircut and clothing look more Twi-ish.
So there is, in fact, subtext here that can be considered messed up from a certain point of view, but it’s the usual undertones you get with Twispike, not anything racial.
Yeah, there’s a difference between mutually agreed-upon private scenarios and for-real hate crimes, but good luck spelling that out to prudish reactionaries.

Exactly. That was my face when.
I think its more the implication of white-on-black slavery. For some reason people are really scared of the mere idea of it being suggested.
Also “mfw” is meant to be accompanied by an image, to show what ‘your face when’ is like.
MFW being brown is controversial.

For some reason he looks more latino than african to me.
What kinda throws me is that the girl, I’m guessing either Rarity or Twilight, is either stark white or a very light lavender….
So why not a purple Spike?
More than “used to heat” I’d say “immune to heat”.
So I still don’t think its a good reason. But whatever.
Dragon = used to heat, Africa = hot, therefor dragon = black? Best I can think of.
(Side note: black skin is for sun exposure, not heat as I may have implied.)
