The animators are aware that the fanbase ship Doctor with both Derpy and Roseluck, so now they mostly appear together. In the Tender Tap episode all 3 of them together were watching them dancing.

I have come across a few of these videos some time ago (I’m assuming you’re talking about BaldDumboRat) though I paid most of my attention to “Lovestruck Derpy” and other more random videos than the main series. Didn’t know there was also one with Doctor Whooves with Twilight, though. I also didn’t know it was these videos that led to the ship. I heard it was them being seen together in that zoomed out shot of Ponyville in one episode that started it all.
 
I’m still kind of a newbie brony having been part of the fandom for a little more than a year now (also, the comment you replied to was my very first comment in Derpibooru) so while I’ve been learning more and more about the fandom there’s still a lot I’m not aware of.

Every scenario could be interesting to test their “frinedship”. I think his Tirek incident had an emotional moment that really sealed the pair for me. I already expected the Gala episode to be about Fluttershy even when i only seen some animatics with just Discord introducing Smooze. When you develop two character to the point where they show all kind of emotions to eachother: affection(hugs, letter wriitng, dates at every tuseday), caring(Fluttershy aiding him when he’s sick, Discord pushing the chair for her), protectiveness(Discord being jealous, Fluttershy protecting him from Mane5 in both premiere and finale of S04 and What about Discord), anger(Their fight in the Gala), sadness (Fluttershy’s devastation after betrayal and Discords realisations). Discord could easily make friends with ponies like Pinkie or Rarity but in both Three’s a Crowd and Make new Firneds but keep Discord, he would rather become a villain and a foe to mane5 than ending his friendship with Fluttershy. Which mean that a lone emotion of friendship isn’t his only motivation in the series in stopping himself from Chaos. Is the friendship with a person who believed in him for the first time and liked him the way he is in the Keep Calm and Flutter On. This nex experinece where someone for the first time in his life doesn’t treat him as the monster is what bind him to the reformation and that act as a much better subplot than reformation of Starligtht or Sunset who had lots of years to get a friends on their own.

For many people it is because of the web series/audio play Doctor Whooves and Assistant that you have this ship, with Derpy being the Doctor’s companion in his adventures through space and time.
 
This web series/audio play and that of the Doctor Whooves Adventures, in which Twilight Sparkle is the companion of the Doctor, are both amazing. They even have an outstanding crossover between the two which references Alice in Wonderland and a villain know to those that read the book. The two series are treated as alternate universes to each other.
 
Please, by all means check out these audio plays yourself! You can find them on YouTube, and maybe you can find yourself shipping the Doctor and Derpy… Or even that of the Doctor and Twilight.

One thing that would be interesting to see, since Fluttershy is Discord’s “morality pet”, is that someone hurts or traumatizes our timid animal lover her eons old draconequus friend would likely make the assailant suffer… And given his near omnipotent power Discord could do so in very creative ways.

It isn’t a case anymore. I preferred Starlight Glimmer as a villain, yet she’s also becoming an ally and Starburst is basically to her what Fluttershy is to Discord.

Hmm, perhaps. I just don’t like any shipping involving Discord, at all no matter who he is shipped with. Whether Fluttershy, Celestia, or anyone else.
 
Heck he is eons old, by his own admittance, if he couldn’t even understand friendship or consider anyone a friend in that time I very much doubt he would ever have the right mindset or even maturity for romance.
 
I will be honest though, my bias against his reform may play a part in my feelings. I believe personally Discord made for a much better villian then he ever did a reformed ally.

As long as he isn’t fully redeemed and actually saved anyone, it will be just a one sided crush. But it doesn’t mean it woudn’t work when Discord learn more about ponies. Fluttershy is a storng independent mare and know exactly how to handle Discord. And Discord shown that he is more caring toward her than Twilight and friends. It’s more of a Fred/Wilma rleationship than any form of abusive relationship. Discord is funny charming and often goofy. Just becasue he is sometimes clueless about social issues and doesn’t know how to react to that doesn’t mean that he in any way abuse or control Fluttershy. Basically right now he is just too childish for real romance. But he might grow up eventually and Fluttershy is the only one who support him in the series.

No my opinion is not “ wrong”, you merely disagree with it.
 
More I feel it would be an unhealthy relationship, if they did get together. Discord would be the dominate party, his forceful personality such that that Fluttershy would too often just going along with what the draconequus wants. More, he has already shown a jealous side… who is to day such won’t rear its ugly head again?
 
It wouldn’t work I feel, not a good fit. Perhaps if the attraction was one sided, such as Discord being “in love” with or having a crush on Fluttershy but her not returning such feelings and seeing him only as a friend, but otherwise no.

I agree or am fine with all of these ships except Fluttershy & Discord. No shipping is appropriate in my eyes when Discord is involved, it not being believable or fitting when putting him with any pony.
 
Also Celestia and King Sombra only work if tt is AU Sombra from the Reflections arc of the IDW comics.

SoarinDash: Their personalities seem to complement each others’ and they seem to really respect each other. Plus, Dash saved Soarin at least twice (3 times if you count saving his pie). Cute pairing IMO.
 
Fluttercord: They’re just friends. Fluttershy may have shown Discord friendship, but I don’t think it has to be any further than that for their relationship to be great, which it already is as it stands.
 
Flashlight: This pairing gets so much hate… Yes, Flash Sentry is bland…in the human world. Pony Flash may very well be different enough to be a better character for all we know (I mean, look at SciTwi; I think she’s more bland than pony Twilight). Personally, I think they look really cute together and if the show ever wants to explore a relationship between him and Twilight’s pony selves, they would have to establish pony Flash to be different/better character than his human counterpart and it would have to be a very subtle and careful approach.
 
CheesyPie: I love Pinkie Pie; she’s my favorite of the mane six. I also love Cheese Sandwich; I’ve been a Weird Al Yankovich fan for many years. While they’re both very fun ponies with similar personalities, I’m just not sure they’d be the type to see each other as more than friends, but I wouldn’t mind either way.
 
Sparity: Their feelings for each other are already canon. We already know Spike loves Rarity, and there’s enough evidence in the show that indicates that Rarity has at least some feelings for Spike. They may not officially be an item, but Rarity cares enough for Spike to not outright reject him either.
 
Celebra: Where did this idea come from? ?_? They’re both enemies of each other…and isn’t King Sombra dead anyway? To each his own…
 
DerpyWhooves: I’ve only recently heard about this pairing. Even after watching Slice of Life, I never gave it a thought. Thinking about it now, they do look kinda cute together, especially in that scene where Derpy gives Dr. Whooves her scarf. I’d like to see more interactions between these two, romantic or not.
 
CheeriMac: Yes, they were only infatuated with each other because of the love potion in Hearth’s Warming Eve, but I could see them as a legit couple. They’re seen walking or standing next to each other in a few scenes throughout the show (and even in EQG) and there’s also that scene where Cheerilee does a fangirl faint at Big Mac’s singing performance (which she would’ve done the same even if it were Big Mac’s real voice). There’s just something I find really cute about them.
 
LyraBon: I’m more into straight ships (I have nothing against same-sex ships BTW) but these two are always together and seem to be really great friends who are very sweet to each other. I can’t imagine either of them being romantically affiliated with any other pony for that reason so whatever, have fun with this one if you’re a LyraBon fan.
 
Vinyltavia: People have been wanting to see them together for a long time now and Slice of Life finally gave them that. We see they’re actually roommates living in the same house…but the fact we see both halves of their house as two completely different styles from each other gives me the impression that they’re NOT interested in each other, if anything. If they were lovers, their styles would be more likely to be mixed throughout the entire house rather than being split as two clearly-distinct halves. They do seem to get along with each other well, though, so I don’t know.

Well in Equestria Girls you could argue that they were closer than just friends when playing piano but yeah, Vinyl/Octavia and Derpy/Doctor so far had nothing

I don’t really like the last two, because I see Lyra and Bon Bon as best friends and I don’t know why people just ship them because they are just walking and standing next to each other, and with Vinyl and Octavia seems like people just ship them because they have music talents even tough they never interact or walk and stand by each other, Also I don’t know why there is a celestia and sombra in there it would make sense if it was the good sombra from the comics, but everything I just said is just my opinion so don’t take it so serious.

Not sure an S2 poster counts sense they didn’t stand next to each other in the actual S2 episodes, or any episode for that matter. I guess you got me there with the comics though, but many question its canonicity. Especially if Bon Bon’s crush on Big Mac is mentioned.
