Please thank Zigragirl for taking the time to reply to my comment. Thank you for answering my inquiry as well. Spike’s story in inexorably linked to Twilight’s, and people often forget that when they start shipping her. It’s nice to see that the kid isn’t forgotten or swept aside when these types of relationships are introduced. Thank you once again!

Here is her answer: I’m so glad that there’s people who enjoy my art, because it’s really fun taking the time and doodling them. As for Spike, I love his close bond with Twilight and his growth over the course of the series has really attached to me, and I’m sure by your comment, a lot of other viewers of the show. ^u
 
As for Twilight and Shadow’s relationship, Spike feels quite happy for the both of them. He was a bit wonky with their get-together at first, with some jokes thrown here and there and needless complaints. But as Shadow’s protection served for good and the library brightening with his presence, Spike has gotten more comfortable with him.
 
So… yeah! That’s my take on it! As mentioned before, I’m glad to see there are supporters of my incarnations of these characters and they should be on the lookout, because there’ll be more soon!

Unfortuanately, as I am a Background Pony, I can’t send private messages. But, as these are apparently your O.C.‘s, I hope you don’t mind me asking you here instead. This was the first image of Zigragirl’s that I’ve seen… mostly because it’s the first one she appears to have drawn of Spike, and as I only check for his character tag when I come here, I was introduced to her art. Please inform her that I find her interpretation of Spike very well done, as is all of her art. I would like to ask what she thinks of him as a character and if we might someday see more of him in her style?
 
As for your O.C., it’s pretty apparent that Shadow Leap and Twilight are on the verge, if not already, moving beyond him merely being her guard. It’s not a nice thing to admit, I know, but I would have written this off as just more O.C./Mane Cast shipping if it weren’t for how comfortable Spike is shown to be around Shadow Leap in this image. How does Spike feel about Twilight and Leap’s budding relationship? How did he take having him in Twilight’s life? Do Spike and Shadow Leap have any sort of interaction, and how do they feel about one another?
