I was more annoyed with the shipping being a generic application of “Ship the royals!” and not being an actual fan approved ship. Because that would actually be a challenge/take effort yanno!
Or they could have gone even wilder and done a crack ship like Sombradash, anything but what Katie did!!!
Or even better an unexpected background pony ship because then that one could be kept canon!
Like if you dig Sombrashy/Sombrity, Coco could have been the next best choice!

good concept, almost a good story, there was a lot of wasted potential in here, i feel like the story was rushed a lot, and the romance between the good King Sombra and Celestia was kinda weird and just off? i don’t think it’s a waste of time reading it, it’s still a average good story, they could have done much more tho.

Never been so disappointed since that first Jagged Alliance reboot attempt.  
(tl;dr, some ruskies got ahold of the property, removed all the humour and silly things, made it a turned-based CS:Go)

If we’re going with multi-multi-multiverses… oh lord. How long can it be before Elric of Melnibone shows up? Presumably as a tall and gangly albino unicorn with creepy pink eyes. The setting already has Discord, who is obviously Nyarlathotep and also therefore presumably Arioch.

Besides the prime universe that is Friendship is Magic aka G4, there must be other universes/realities as well…
 
e.g. G1 universe (Rescue at Midnight Castle, Return of Tambelon, etc…), G3 universe (A Very Minty Christmas, etc…), MLP 2099 (a high tech, futuristic reality), a Rule 63 universe (where the characters are genderswapped), MLP Noir (where everything & everyone is presented in film noir), as well as a universe where the FiM villains have won & all of Equestria is taken over, with some of the main characters dead or crippled…
