Well, if we take into account that Twilight wore more revealing outfits and Fluttershy didn’t, we understand why Twilight was more popular than Fluttershy.
If you look closely, by the end of Rarity’s section the follower count is a large enough number that the first digit is slightly visible to the left of her, while that isn’t the case during Fluttershy’s section. It does just keep rising throughout the video, so Twilight is the true winner in terms of popularity.
Rarity also got 209500¥ in donations compared to Fluttershy’s 72150¥
