Arguably it truly started catching on two days later with this post setting the wheels in motion, was only used one other time on the 25th from what I found digging through archives of both 4chan and plus4chan, then twice again on the 26th and then seven times on the 27th (assuming that the timestamps of both archives are close enough in what timezone they go by). Won’t argue about this events influence, since there was a clear case of Sparkle Fizzlelove adopting it into their vocabulary and it then spreading to someone who refered to themselves as the “songfag” who also used it multiple times.

Nope, 4chan/co/. That’s where the MLP adult fandom sprang from. It didn’t take long for it to spread virally, but 4chan was where it all began.
