I don’t use the school system of grading. I do have a descriptive attached to each score that helps make it clearer.
 
10/10 “Virtually Perfect”  
9/10 “Exceptional”  
8/10 “Great”  
7/10 “Very Good”  
6/10 “Good”  
5/10 “OK”  
4/10 “Weak”  
3/10 “Bad”  
2/10 “Awful”  
1/10 “It exists”
 
5s and 6s are “passing grades” if only just. I found season 1 to be consistently mediocre, the season for me did average at a 5.6/10, but there were some gems in there and there are plenty of highlight moments even in some of the “lesser” episodes. It was an Ok start for the show that ended on one of the show’s highest moments.

I’ve been seeing a lot of 5s and 6s during the Season 1 images. To me, they don’t sound like passing grades.

Yep. Tried watching the whole series again earlier this year. Got half way through season 7 before stopping. It was only supposed to be a break but I never ended up going back to it. This however is motivating me to back to it.

Yep. A lack of appearances since the debut could shape the character in a way that would never even come to mind for the show writers.
 
Also, are you grading each of these episodes?

I mean, there was a whole season’s worth of fan content based on “Woona” that just got de-canoned with as much grace as a polar bear on ice skates.
 
She may have never been given much of a character in Season 1, but there is a clear difference of intent with the drastically different designs.

Believe it or not, there were actually some people that were pissed that Luna didn’t stay as a Fluttershy clone.
