Description
Ever since the great apple invasion, Fluttershy’s inner fruit bat awakened after remembering Twilight turning Pinkie Pie into an apple in order to infiltrate the bad apples. One night visiting Twilight, Flutterbat saw her chance to seize this unique opportunity. Using her Stare to hypnotize Twilight, she made her tell her friends to meet them at her cottage for an apple feast. Little did they know who was going to be the apples… =P“Well… Anypony got any ideas on how we’ll get out of here?”
“Oh don’t worry. I’m sure somepony will come along soon. I’m more curious as to why she swallowed us whole. Don’t bats usually suck apples? Doesn’t make any sense-”
“Salutations my little ponies! How are you all tonight-”
“HISSSSSSS! *BURP!*”
“Having one of your batty relapses again, eh Fluttershy? And where are your-”
“DISCORD! HELP! SHE MADE TWILIGHT TURN US INTO APPLES AND ATE US!!”
“*Sigh!* Hang on, I’ll fix this…”
“See? Everything is going to be a-okay!”
So yeah, I dived into my scrap pile and dug out this oldie ^^Boy, Flutterbat sure liked them apples xD
Maybe they got turned one by one as you suggested, and only then grouped together to add the last of them to their numbers.
Anyway, you’re really over-analyzing this picture methinks.

How do you not know Fluttershy has a relapse? She has bat features! That’s a big epic fail for Twilight especially knowing full well of Fluttershys condition.
But ok let’s say that Fluttershy hypnotized Twilight. If she can do that so easily then there really was no need to group everyone up and risk them getting away when she could just easily hypnotize everyone like she did Twilight one by one.
So Twilight went to Fluttershy’s house for something, not realizing her friend’s relapsed worse then ever. Got a face full of hypnosis, and it went downhill from there.
Just off the top of my head. And even if the rest somehow did get warning… well, dash away, hide, one bad corner, some luck…
If every battle was won by numbers alone, history would look very different—and mind-control is one heck of an advantage.
Before Twilight even turned them into Apples they could’ve either knocked Flutterbat out or incapacitate Twilight
And don’t tell me they couldn’t overpower Twilight because that doesn’t make any sense because then how did Flutterbat overpower Twilight so easily?
…While turned into apples AND Flutterbat’s got Twilight completely enthralled? How?
I’m all for rooting for the underdog, but that sounds like an uphill battle and a half.
Hate is very wrong.
