I tried keeping the upper body as still as I could, but ended up having to move it by a lot to get the motion to work for this pose. It can be avoided by simply choosing another pose/range of motion however.
 
And velvet has a delay to her body, but would have to be increased then in case it wasn’t noticable.

Despite what other commenters are saying, I would actually love to see some of these in the positions that ponies would actually use to mate….
 
Be nice to see from beginning to end too (growing out of sheath, getting hard, mounting, finishing, pulling out, etc)

It’s a fictional/mythological species from MLP which are depicted with human level intelligence and sentience. So one could argue that they are as much of an “animal” as humans are.  
The base character designs are also from MLP, with a realistic adaptation on the anatomy to work better in 3D.
 
So I would say that it is very related to MLP, outside of the fact that they are having sex. But that shouldn’t come as a surprise, clop has never been part of the show! :)
