Maybe it’s because there’s a large contrast between the overall appeal of this drawing and your specific foot phobia, so that left a rather strong impression.

So this picture haunts me. It’s not a bad picture. I saw the pic because I follow the artist. It’s drawn well, Spike is cute, cool~ I have a foot phobia but foot fetish is such a large external factor that you bump into it with the filter on it, and that’s fine, I try not to let the external factors in life bug me that much. But you know how sometimes in life your brain rolls a 20 at long term memory and you just have photographic memory of a situation?

I saw this pic. It didn’t bother me much. Just went, “Oh,” and moved on. Then it stayed. It wouldn’t leave. I just, I just can’t forget this pic and every time Spike is mentioned this comes back in perfect clarity every single time.
