Now imagine rendering at that quality at 60fps for a minute. 1 frame = 2 hours. 2 x 60. 120 hours. for a second… and 60 seconds? >.> even at a single hour. 60 hours. for a second. 60 seconds is 60 x 60 (3600 hours) … I’d man. shits just not practical.

Blender at least have the boxing preview but its hard to work with it. and rendering takes an hour or more with 2 busty princesses.

It also plays into that people just are resistant to change. and once you hit the sfm memory limit. shit crashes… I’ve had it crash with just 2 anthros and a bed before. if it crashes and auto save does not load through without crashing you can also lose all your progress as well. ;n;
 
At the end of the day. the quality of the models and system does not translate directly into a good product. It can be surprising what you can do with such an old system. … well… and photoshop.

Indeed, i work with a 2012 computer, also i use blender 2.49b, imagine that. i never took in mind the standardization part. funny enough i work in a similar way, thats why i still try antho bodies with “normal” pony heads. i want to jump in a full anthro version, but its hard.  
i must say my prejudice comes from those who know very little and post things with poor quality. but i try dont to be rude by giving a tip or two about improving.

The more complex the model the harder it is to work with (higher poly counts and all that) and sfm has a memory limit. so higher textures and poly count play into that. would also require that it becomes standardized and reach the level the rest are. and then replace ALL the models that are made. otherwise why use them?
 
Some could use them. but it won’t be as main stream if done so and will have far less utilities packaged with them cause it take so much work. … and honestly there arnt alot of pony model makers left that are active and not getting paid.

Thanks, i dont understand why people dont improve the generic 3D models, i mean yeah the bodies and the shapes and lighting are improving a lot, but that painted mane and nose, those flat ears just kills it for me. I know it may sound rude, but thats my humble point.
