Yep. A little update can be found here. She doesn’t have ties to Fall Out Equestria anymore either but she’s still mostly gas.

Bad idea. Her nose drippings (which I think is a nosebleed) and saliva is either completely toxic or acidic if I’m not mistaken.

Passel was originally a Fall Out Equestria OC. In that fanfic, there was a chemical weapon made from magic gas called the Pink Cloud. Passel was more or less the Pink Cloud given life so she was basically mostly a deadly acidic cloud that took the shape of a sabertoothed Hippogriff. It’s a bit more obvious in Ralek’s earlier drawings where she was more gas like.  
 
But he later retooled a lot of his OCs into being their own thing so a lot of them don’t have ties to Fall Out Equestria anymore. So with that being said, I’m not too familiar with Passel’s updated backstory (if she has one).
 
As for the anatomy, I don’t know if the choices made here were accidental or if they were dilberate due to Ralek’s art style. But I can see what you mean. Her hind legs are a bit too long and look a bit off.
