I understand, I’ve actually had many friends whom are girls, (I’m a boy BTW, I get mistaken for a girl alot online lol) and while I would like to have a girlfriend some day, it’s possible to have platonic friendships with the opposite sex. Sadly, some fandoms forget that, with the overabundance of ‘shipping fanart, and some fans see everything through ‘shipper goggles.
 
Heck, I’ve been told by Fluttercord fans that their ‘ship is “canon,” so much, I’m starting to feel like I’m the only one left whom sees Fluttershy & Discord’s relationship as platonic. (And remember, they’re basically an immortal demigod spirit of chaos, and a normal shy person/pony.)

I don’t even mean just within the Brony community, I mean just about everywhere almost all the time. If a guy and a gal are seen making any kind of physical contact, a bunch of people are just gonna assume that they’re fucking, which makes it needlessly difficult to develop platonic relationships with the opposite sex (or even with the same sex, if you’re a guy), which is extremely unhealthy, and I for one am sick of being sick of being sick of it.

I guess with the huge abundance of ‘shipping/romance fanart on this site, it’s easy to forget that, and automatically assume something is ‘shippy. I actually agree, it’d be nice to see more cute platonic stuff.
 
Gender isn’t even it, even if two characters are together, and are the same gender, people assume they’re a romantic pairing. (Seeing how popular yuri is in the brony fanbase.) That’s ironically how LyraBon got so popular, and became an OTP. (To the point, it feels like we’re not allowed to portray them as platonic friends anymore, nor ’ship them with any other characters, lest we trigger some fans. Which I think is kinda unfair honestly.)  
Even the show kinda regards/references it now. (Though, is a bit more ambiguous about it.)

Yes. Platonic cuddling is a thing, and I wish it were far more widespread, because I hate how many people automatically assume there’s something romantic and/or sexual going on when they see two individuals of the opposite sex getting snuggly.

The bunnies should be grooming one another, as they demand to do.

I know what it means, but i dont think its hard to figure out who said anon is according to tag changes. And im pretty sure tagging like that is against the rules, and also to act like someone else to support your opinion. Then again who knows. Mabye there are 2 people who thinks this is what fat is, and im completely wrong
