Duly noted. Could use a blend of orange and yellow like I did on Lyra’s cutie mark here. That might work better.
 
Think I’ll do an Octavia drawing next. Not sure what, but wanted to draw more of both these characters.

well, it’s not a huge deal. it’s a very lovely picture in general. I’d stick with something solidly in the realm of yellow for their eyes though, if you can’t get the perfect golden hue.

Not colour-blind at all.
 
I actually used the lighter orange I have (got 2), as it’s the nearest colour I have.
 
With Derpy it was just a mistake as I’d not drawn her in ages and didn’t use a reference image.

huh, lyra has very bright golden eyes, and derpy has yellow, yet you made both of them red, not yellow. you wouldn’t happen to be red/green colorblind, would you?
