While it’s true we don’t know if it was done deliberately I’d say they were conscious about it at least.  
The fact that they used pony food for assets just seems deliberate to me when they had other assets they could’ve used, also the fact that Sunset doesn’t even have a burger in that scene. If they had used a normal burger asset along with the fries asset I could’ve said they were lazy about it but using both just seems peculiar.  
Maybe it’s nothing or maybe they’re trying to subtlety tell us something.  
Really makes you think, doesn’t it?

Maybe Everybody in the Human World or Earth if it is knew about it between the end of friendship games and before the specials i mean heck in movie magic there were mentions of power ponies so yeah……..

The thing is that they have fries assets from the first movie as well as burger assets. I thought it was peculiar their choice of assets in that scene. It was definitely done deliberately since they actually used older assets when they had newer ones in hand. I through it was peculiar.

It’s not a public school. The scene took place in a mall and everyone was eating that meal.
