Why is it that the solution to these things always involves “let’s get in a fight which ends in one side dying” instead of “let’s go talk with the perfectly reasonable group and explain rationally why what they’re doing is a bad idea”?
I think I would have enjoyed the “Taken” movie series more if the lead character followed your idea.

There’s also something funny I noticed: A large number of images of both Padlock and Vibrant Vision, the two OCs who are religious leaders in this story, are rule 34.
If this whole Celestia Church vs. Cult of Rock conflict isn’t solved by them making out, I’ll be severally disappointed.

Nah Changelings are good for secretly taking someone out and replacing him („To Where and Back Again“) but are really bad at frontal assaults(“A Canterlot Wedding”).
For Fluttershy a herd of injured animals, a stack of old books for Twi, an avid Daring Do fan for Rainbow, a filly with a nightmare for Luna, and for Anon….probably an all you can (m)eat buffet.
why do I get the impression it’s going to be like,
cultist: “you’ll have to kill me if you want to approach the stone!”
celestia: “oh, dear. I suppose we’ll just have to turn around, then.”
cultist: “do not toy with me! give me your best shot–wait, where are you going?”
celestia: “back the way we came?”
cultist: “what? it can’t be that easy! wait, come back!”
oh, I just love the perspective on that last panel, btw.

They should fly back up to the Sulaco and nuke the whole site from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.
A foolproof plan!
They distract the Princesses with books, cakes and the like and then take them out and replace them. (To Where and Back Again.) It can be done!
My Head-cannon on that is that they rendered each Princesses magic useless with their special rocks, and then overwhelmed them with sheer numbers.

Or just hire the changelings. Always seem to work.
Considering that at least two of the Alicorn princess wouldn’t want to hurt other ponies, throwing bodies at them isn’t such a bad plan.
Coy Celestia is best Celestia.

Wonderful colors and designs indeed, Something pleasant to look at with a wonderful design.
How OCs are meant to be. Canon like characters with eye pleasing colors.
