I’ve written quite a bit about it. In terms of an afterlife, I’m influenced by religion and personal experience, as well as some existential philosophy on the matter.

Sleepin’ with the fishes, eh? Considering the only signs of it being underwater and Attraction drowning being bubbles and the fish, you’d think he can breathe underwater.

Also, legs may be loose, but the arms, and especially the body, seem very well bound.
 

 
Though it would be nice to imagine it as a happier photo shoot than a photo shoot… He really needs an unlikely rescue than anything… Or a warm, comforting welcome to the afterlife to subdue the agony of regret at having thrown away the once in eternity opportunity at life…

Well its tagged suicide, although it seems kinda unlikely he wouldn’t be thrashing around either way.

Hmm, looking at the ropes, he’s actually tied really loosely. He could easily wriggle out at any time (he can easily move his front hooves, and his rear ones are so loose he could just take his socks off), so I think he’s just posing for a photoshoot?

That’s neat to hear. It’s what people do when they’re alone that speaks most of them. Especially when all the cares of life have fled.

Must be neat to get fan art, though. I know people who’ve spent many years on stories that haven’t gotten half as much fan art. Having a visual medium and appealing design are probably big factors.

Actually, when you’re on top of a rock, it’s surprisingly easy to move your body around and cause it to shift. I’ve lost my footing many times as a kid fooling around on rocks and then falling off because I kept thinking that if it was so heavy, it couldn’t move at all.

Heh, and realistically, he’d be struggling madly as his body compulsively and convulsively, reflexively fights for air. Though I have heard that once the lungs completely fill with water, there’s a serene tranquility, though I’m not sure how long it lasts before unconsciousness sets in.
 
In any case, it’s eerie, haunting and sublime to see him gently, calmly reach out to the goldfish while in such a situation. The expression on his face as he does so, and the act of doing so at all, speaks volumes on his inner character.

Not that simple… Also not particularly realistic. The only way this would work is with cliffs, and it’s more likely they’d hit their head on something, hit the water too hard, fall the wrong way and get pinned, etc. Etc.

Simple. He put a rock near the surface on the edge of a dock, tied the rope around himself and the rock, and then rocked back and forth on the rock until it tipped over and fell into the water.

That is one elaborate suicide attempt(assuming this is tagged correctly). How did she even manage to tie herself to a rock and then throw herself into water?
