That’s what the writers wanted us to see.
Again, the focus is on the rescue, not the capture.
True, but I wish that they at least explain one kidnap attempt in some detail instead of leaving it up to the fans to figure out.
So like most of the kidnaps.
That is something I would fully agree with since we never actually see how everyone got kidnapped and cocooned to begin with. It all happened off-camera while Starlight and Trixie were off visiting Starlight’s old village.
Still prefer if she was awake this whole time though..
Or at least struggled enough to stay awake long enough to see everything there.
It would have made the embarrassment of getting captured there well.. sting less.
Yeah, but she may have been in a sedated state like everyone else, so she was only semi-conscious, and not fully aware of what was going on until after her cocoon was busted open when the throne blew and recovered faster than everyone else to congratulate Starlight for her heroism.
Referring to the whole bit where her eyes were still open while in there.

Same here. Chrysalis pretty much proved here why she’s the most dangerous and psychotic villain Equestria has had to deal with through the course of the series.

Well, technically Starlight DID win in the Season 5 finale. Multiple times. It wasn’t until Starlight noticed what her “stunt” had caused after having returned to last and the worst “present-time”.
After which they fixed the things.
