That too. I also think that the worst ending for the show would be if all of them became alicorn princesses. With becoming immortal to boot. That’d feel like a betrayal with these lovable characters to drop their dreams and future (and their mortality that’s why I love Harry Potter’s final book morale).  
But anyway I believe the writers wouldn’t want to break the 2x3 (two of each race) thing. And they must know this’d cause shitstorm (besides there has been several jabs at Mary Sue’s already).  
Unless hasbro made them do it.

What I’m expressing concern about is its focus on Twilight Sparkle for this season culminating in her actually becoming an alicorn, as shown in that merchandising picture.

Really? I understand Twilight had to be the main character in the first season but I thought it’s no longer needed and it’s gonna get more balanced. Well maybe in the future. But really the main cast is too good for not doing that.
