It wasn’t misspelling. Her name is Miamore Cadenza which is Italian for “My Cadence of Love” or “My Rhythm of Love” (both words means pretty much the same thing), the name was correct but it got changed to Cadance in season 4 for a better reception for the USA public since the Candace/Cadance being the most famous name variation.
 
Regardless I believe calling her both ways are correct since both were used in canon, so you should be able to use either form at your preference.
 
I do a lot of roleplaying games of MLP with other people and we all kept the former Cadence spelling when it comes to her because we feel it’s prettier and it has a beautiful meaning since Cadence can also be used to mean moral or cultural increase as decadence means moral or cultural decline.

I think you’re making the same problem as the other guy in the fact that you’re equating a fan group to be something greater. There is no such thing as “furry art” unless it’s original art that comes from said group and features original characters from said group.  
As I said, that type of art has been around for a long, long time. It’s not something exclusive to the furry fandom and anyone can like said art without belonging to that group. That type of art is generally popular with the general public, just look how well zootopia did in theaters.  
The problem comes with trying to make a rather popular and well know style of art synonymous with a pretty obscure group.  
Furries are just a certain and specific type fans of that art, that’s pretty much it. It’s not some all encompassing group nor do most people even acknowledge the term.

Yes because MLP ponies are obviously not our kind of ponies in Earth, the right thing would consider them as Aliens that lives in another world and have SIMILAR characteristics to our Ponies, in that case one could say this isn’t furry but xenophilia more likely.

I do agree with you in the point that, i heard of it before, basically any animal art/can be called furry, like, it was even called so sometimes back in 70s with cartoons. And so could be mlp called too.  
Also yes they are very anthromorphed in the way, that they dont look like real horses and have physical characteristics to humans. Legs bend in various directions, small snout/body, big eyes, big head like babies to appeal human mind as ‘cute’
 
 
That is not related to the actual fandom and what makes someone a furry.
 
So what makes a furry? Lets compare to the ponyfans. Which is not like ‘just’ a specific ‘genre’ of furry, its far more and can, from its size and much alonestanding culture compare to the size of the furry fandom.
 
So: a furry likes animals, lets say not the humanized anthromorphic ones. Show me one furry who only likes one species, visits specific sites only dedicated to fanart and stuff to that species. I could be wrong totally but this sounds not furry likely to me.
 
Pony fans. ‘Bronies yay!’ Have a source of their affinity. Not ‘just’some animals. Its Cartoon characters from a tv show. And they do have known character. These creatures are not out of mind any representation of animals but personalities.  
And their design as seen on its own is pretty appealing which in that case already forms a completely new and seperate standing base to be liked by people.
 
Add the great telling and all that makes mlp great, BAM! bronies come alife.  
Hell its only ponies and they get fansites with so much content only dedicated to them! :D

It is distinctly possible for a furry to be attracted to, or even to like, only one of those images. They span a wide variety of degrees of anthropomorphism, and a variety of art styles. So, not all furries like all kinds of furry artwork. Most have preferences related to style, degree of anthropomorphism, species, sex, etc. Some furries aren’t into the artwork but like fursuits. Others don’t like fursuits, but are into the artwork. But they are all furry images, so if you like any one of them, regardless of whether you are into fursuits, you are still a furry. If I add this one to the list:
 

 
it doesn’t change the subject in any way. It’s just an anthropomorphic cartoon horse. Cartoon, or “funny animal” art like that is a longstanding subset of furry art. MLP:FiM characters are a particular instance of “funny animal” art. You can like only that one cartoon horse out of the bunch, and have no interest in fursuiting, yet you are still a furry, because liking that one image of a cartoon horse meets the definition of furry. Exactly the same as if you preferred the first vixen, or the second. Or the otter, the raccoon, or the dog. The horse, if anything, is even more anthropomorphic than the dog. Yet the dog is clearly not realistic or abstract wildlife art, it’s furry. So if the horse is more anthro/furry than the dog, which is furry, then the horse is….? And the person who likes only the horse is still a….?
 
So FiM fandom is a fandom of a specific genre of “funny animal” furry art. Liking MLP:FiM characters is enough to make one a furry, even if it is the only kind of furry art one likes. Same with someone who likes only the first vixen, or only the otter.
 
It is however possible to like only the show and not be a furry. For example, someone who does not care for the character design, but appreciates the writing, or the songs, etc. But if the only type of furry character you like is show-accurate MLP:FiM characters, liking MLP:FiM characters is enough to make you a furry.

Eeh. I don’t like the term being used that way. Kinda insulting when you consider the characters to be pretty intelligent and having cities and a civilization. Better to stick with the term pony by itself IMO.

Yes – that is the actual definition. However, this is refering to feral in an anatomical way. As in quadrepedal equine verses bipedal anthro. In a way, it’s a form of slang to distinguish between full on anthro and a ‘realistic’ non-human shape.

I don’t think feral refers to body shape. Feral is mostly a state of mind like wild and undomesticated animals. Humans can be feral as well if they’re raised by animals or like in fallout the feral ghouls are just mindless creatures with primitive instincts.
