It’s sort of implied that Torch never was a danger but that Celestia still had to keep tabs with him - much like the yaks in that sense.
Based on what? Cause from what we’ve seen of adult dragons until now suggests that the only reason they don’t attack is because they simply don’t care and/or don’t like grouping up. I mean, its not like they see ponies any different from how their teens do, so the “peace” seems to be based on either lack of interest, selfishness or convenience.

I will say between the empires of the dragons, the yaks, and the griffons, there is a lot of damn interesting past world building that could be explored. EPIC PONY WARS for example.

Ok seriously. This together with that side shot of Torch and Ember (when he’s yelling at her) really make him seem way, WAY larger than any other dragon. Ha anyoen actually made a new size comparition? Cause I think this guy is really close to an Ursa Major. I mean, I just saw a pic of the Ursa Minor compared to a pony, and this guy’s head and neck alone lookas big as the U.Minor’s entire body.

There are plenty of vectors for disease in nature. One more doesn’t make a big difference in the grand scheme of things, unless you’re a freak trying to be completely free of illness and parasites, like us humans.
