You can upload svgs to the site itself, but I’ve no clue how to make it work with comments.
Fireworks itself has limited svg support (with a plugin you can import / export), but it’s native Fireworks PNG format blows svg out of the water in every way shape and form. It basically does everything svg does and has full compatability with any program that supports regular pngs.
