Neat! Thanks.
Here’s the thread you need.
There is a bug I’ve encountered with which images related to a tag you have hidden can still be seen as though spoilered. It usually seems to occur when an image you uploaded, and sometimes one you’ve commented on, gains a tag that you have hidden. I first found this out when adding the “image macro” tag to an image I posted; I had never viewed image macro (which is hidden by default) prior to this, and after posting the image, when I viewed my uploads it appeared with the spoiler for image macro. Upon opening the image, it even gave me the “spoilered by your filter” message; except it said “hidden by your current filter,” instead.
I’m sure at least some of the staff has seen clop. Maybe they’re just trolling us with stuff like this.
The animators are probably closet clop viewers. I mean, besides the show, there’s EG, and… <w<
I almost want to make the source image the avatar of the blog
Huh. Didn’t know those were things.
No, I mean the spoiler images for those tags which was what he was complaining about displaying the type of thing its spoilering.
Oh wow so egregious.
Oh, that’s what they meant. I was really confused when they said animated, because I couldn’t figure out what they were talking about. They mean the illusion of movement the banner of this tag gives off if stared at a certain way?
I think you’ve somehow managed to confuse Vibrating with Animated because Animated is barely so, just the background color radiants rotating; I couldn’t even see anything moving about it until I looked up the full thumbnail, the search/notification size one it isn’t even visible.
She just read some Youtube comments.
Huh?
It “undermines” it if people just don’t feel like watching their screen jump around all over the place like a page full of hyperactive banner ads.
Except as was already explained the thumbnail being animated doesn’t undermine that in any way.
Most people spoiler animated stuff to make the site load faster OR to not see the mash-up of animated pictures going at the same time.
I do hope this is one of them.
No idea.
What is the most hidden tag and artist tag?
that was likely a bug at some point, which is very likely fixed now
Good to know, thanks.
Because they’re a hell of a lot less appeeling if I make them all completely unrelated to the tag they serve:
See what I mean?
Secondly, they don’t just spoiler the tag. They also serve as it’s icon when searched:
They are going to serve that purpose more than they are going to serve the purpose of hiding it.
Thirdly, they’re just cartoon characters.
Fourth, do you honestly think there would have been any less complaining if I had used Sparity for Interspecies or like Cheerimac for Straight (for the record too, my first choice was ShiningChrysalis for that one). I could have shipped Rainbow Dash with a kitchen sink and there would have been complaining.
Fifth, for the people who are so upset by an image that they can’t even stand seeing it, they could literally download one of several adblock services for whatever web browser they’re using and block that one specific image, 100% for free, and in less time than it would take to even write a comment complaining about it. Here, I’ll go install one and do it right now just to show how shit-simple it is:
That took me like 15 seconds. It took me longer to do the screencaps to show it off. And yes, before you ask, these plugins allow you to swap blocked images with one of your choosing.
Sixth, people doing ^that doesn’t ruin things for the larger group of people who do like these images.
Savvy?
Hidden tags should always take priority over spoiled tags, if a tag is hidden, any image with that tag wouldnt even show a thumbnail, hence “Hidden”. I’ve never heard of that not being the case, so that was likely a bug at some point, which is very likely fixed now.
they can hide instead of just spoiler
Fair point. Didn’t the hide/spoiler feature use to do a thing, though, where an image that had tags that were spoilered AND tags that were hidden would show the spoiler image on the thumbnail page? It may have been one of those things that only popped up in the middle of the last big overhaul update, but I swear I remember seeing two tags listed sometimes on the spoiler image instead of just one, and one of them being a tag I had hidden.
@DanielTepesKraus
You just seem dead set on making all the new spoiler images defeat their own purpose, man; why can’t they all just be funny, like this one and the ponut, story in the description, and sideways image spoiler images?
…Good work on the 41k file size, though, that was legit helpful.
