Agreed, I feel like Starlight deserved her redemption. Sunset Shimmer had the whole school hating her, glaring at her when she walked down the corridors, refused to associate with her when she offered to help and even the Humane 5 and Twilight clearly had their doubts about her reformation. Despite that Sunset was actively working towards fixing her ruined reputation, helping her new friends and was ultimately the key to defeating the sirens. So when Sunset was finally accepted by Canterlot High it felt genuine and like she earned it.  
However the Equal Four are the only ones shown to have forgiven her. Maybe in the future Starlight will have an episode dedicated to winning the rest of Our Town over, or maybe there’s a particular pony there that she hurt more than the others or who just has a harder time forgiving her.

This scene would’ve been much better if it had its own episode.  
Or at least half of one.

Im pretty sure the majority of MLP’s audiance is not little girls anymore, and even Hasbro knows this (just look at the finale with tirek, feels like something straight out of an anime!)

I personally dislike game of thrones and wish MLP was a little lighter in tone like it used to be, the fact my grandmother felt the need to tell my 6 year old cousin that doing bad things means you get punished in the end after watching this episode says a lot one of the few times I felt bad for watching the show.

I dont know if MLP is a chained beast (there is probably a grain of truth,but people sure do love more their hypothesis/headcanon/what if than the actual show,totally disregarding the intended audience (i’m not talking about gender,i’m talking about age.Sue the show can touch subjects like totalitarism ie Starlight Equal Village but the fandom push the enveloppe further and litterally wish that the writers make Game of Throne epic

I love that the show isn’t afraid to redeem multiple villains. It’s refreshing.

This is actually only scene i liked from that song. Maybe she did bad things to village but she created it, she created that community. Without her they would never meet each other, so i can understand that they forgave her, but everything else was too quick.

I’ve gotten to a point where I genuinely want a pony villain who is a horrifying sociopath that does truly vile things and has zero interest in being reformed, to the point that they’d rather die then do so, if only because I’m tired of the whole “Oh I just wasn’t loved enough but now that I got that hug I’ll be a bastion of goodness.”
 
I know it’ll never happen but I’m sick of this weak excuse they use.

This ending was complete garbage. It completely killed anything interesting thing about Starlight and now her redemption will be nothing but hollow,unnatural,and contrived. It’s really a shame she was one of my favorite characters and now I consider her the worst character in the series.

Seriously it’s like.
 
Starlight: I’m sorry for putting you all through hell by brainwashing you and forcing you into a society of equality and stealing your cutie marks oh and almost getting you killed.
