I admit there definitely some things that could stand to come back from G1 (which I only watched after I started watching G4), at least. They certainly did it well enough with Tirek and Scorpan. Personally, I’d definitely like to see Catrina and Grogar, for example.

I certainly respect anyone who was a fan back then. I don’t think I was even aware there was a show like that at that time. Oddly enough I do remember when there was a TV series dedicated to Rainbow Brite, so maybe I just had a head injury at some point I can’t recall…

Nonsense. 2011 was the initial fad when everbody was into ponies for a while. It didn’t get weird until the novelty wore off and 90% of people bailed.

The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

Ah good times getting all the weird looks everytime I, a man in his mid 20’s with a 6 month scruffy beard, had a basket full of pony merch at the register that first year and a half after season 1 ended. Now, nobody questions it. XD

And online, liking ponies on 4chan in 2011 was already more or less accepted as normal.
