I’ve been listening to the music every night while I sleep…
I’ve been playing Lego Star Wars and Battlefront nonstop
I’ve been reading the new novels…
and I’ve just bought a Bantha plush off of Amazon.
Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi, you’re my only hope. I’ve lost control of my life!
Still better then CGI Slug, and Solo. I only wish I could still find the original ’77 print. Everywhere I look its always the ’97 remake.
I’m going to watch it Friday hopefully
>”Superior” ’77 print.
Enjoy your dark, blurry film with white rod lightsabers.
You can read about, and listen to the new Fanfare HERE
That sounds like something 20th could sue over.
Actually did you know that Disney removed the Fanfare from all the recent Digital Download Versions? The only work remaining in copyright to use the Fanfare is the original ’77 print of Star Wars.
Oh don’t worry. Disney will buy 20th Century just to complete the effect.
Frankly, I’m not a huge SW fan, but I have nothing against the prequel trilogy, (Episode 3 had some issues though) so I’m willing to give the new movie/s a shot. Don’t care what anyone says.
Jedi wasn’t a bad movie, and it had a few great moments in it. But selecting Jedi as the first movie in the “you’re just retelling the same story” complaint is correct, because Jedi is where Lucas started rehashing motifs pretty heavily.

The Mr. Plinkett reviews line up with a few of the things you said.
Whether or not you like the movies, these reviews are good at showing their negative qualities.
No love for Episode VI?
And I would like to point out that quality stuff like the Clone Wars Cartoons and the KOTOR series were created during the period when the Prequels were being released. It has by no means been all bad.
I don’t think the prequels were awful just to be a hipster or to be bandwagony. I think they were awful because they were awful. They told a story about a convoluted political plot that made very little sense, and none of the characters were well-developed at all apart from Yoda whose development took place in another movie. Seriously, describe Anakin. Describe Qui-Gon or however he’s spelled. Describe Amidala. Describe Mace Windu. Those characters have no personality whatsoever, and there’s no interesting development except for Anakin getting angry over the course of three movies because his mom dies and he believes a vague premonition from a political figure; and his reactions and development aren’t interesting or believable.
So, yeah, they were very bad movies. Of course it’s okay and not “wrong” to enjoy them, but they were much, much, much worse than they should have been. They were far below average in plot, character dynamics, and storytelling, and I’d even add cinematography because having a billion Jedi or lasers or spaceships all on the screen at the same time isn’t interesting. The love story in Episode II was particularly ridiculous and had no real passion or emotion to it, and there was no reason to connect with the characters apart from being interested in them from a previous movie. Even most of the combat scenes, like Episode I showing Gungans launching electric marbles at a faceless army of limp emotionless droids were devoid of anything other than lots of stuff flying around the screen to distract you. Have you ever seen a war scene in another movie that didn’t either evoke fear, or sadness, or some kind of emotion? I’m sure you’ve heard all this stuff before, but it’s worth mentioning that some people dislike the movies for Actual Reasons.
And those movies and the other content which followed them are, in fact, a legitimate reason to decide to stop watching Star Wars. I’m sure friends will try to drag me to the new one, probably my fiance, and I might even end up going. But I’ll resist, I really will. I don’t like thinking about that Universe anymore because it’s been so thoroughly trashed and is now being milked dry yet again, when it would be much better to have some actual original content on the screen. The first two movies (IV and V) were amazing, but that’s not a reason to keep retelling the same story worse and worse each time.
Lewd.
The number of relationships that have ended with them saying that statement to me is… staggering.
Yeah. I’d rather not jump on and end up disappointed.
I tend to wait until rush hour is over.
Yeah. I sometimes ride the hype train, but other times I just prefer to meet up with the train at the terminal.
One of the best things to do.
Screw love, I’d rather taste their fear!
I prefer to ignore hype.
You know what you CAN’T HAVE?
… Loooooooove.
… Meh; screw love. Where’s the cake?
We’re the fucking DARK SIDE! We can have whatever we damn please.
