• Practical effects more often than not look awful, and I saw a lot of CGI in that trailer. And there were TONS of practical effects in the prequels, seriously look it up.  
• Who cares what they film on?  
• He’s also made some pretty terrible movies like Dreamcatcher and Darling Companion and he didn’t write ESB, Lucas did, Kasdan just punched up some dialogue and wrote a few scenes and Lucas decided to go uncredited because of union issues. (and Leigh Brackett was dead before the final few drafts were even written and the names of the planets were her only contribution.)  
• Not good nor bad. A vast majority of people (myself included) enjoy the prequels, the ones that don’t are just more vocal about their hate. And if you dare bring up those idiots at RedLetterMedia I will break something, they’re to film criticism what Hitler was to Germany. And you cannot blame Lucas solely for the prequels if you didn’t like them (multiple script doctors on I, a co-writer on II, and an uncredited co-writer on III who punched up the dialogue.)  
• So? Han’s only back to die, Ford has made that much obvious. If Han survives this movie I’ll be very shocked.
   
  My main issue with Force Awakens is that it looks like it will be nothing more than a darker and gritty remake of a New Hope, with Abrams pandering to the OT fanboys so they’ll sing his praises, even though they’re like 2/5 of the fanbase. Seriously a remake of A New Hope looks like what we’re getting. Death Star III, Rey and Fyn going to rescue Poe just like Han and Luke to rescue Leia, and Han dying like Obi-Wan.
   
  Plus it’s J.J. Abrams. It will fall apart soon enough or fail in hindsight like Lost or his Star Trek films (I liked the first one when it came out but it hasn’t aged well)  
  Although, since there are other people on board and Lucas is a consultant, maybe it will be good. Although as long as Abrams keeps Damon Lindelof away with a 1000 foot cattle prod I’ll be happy.
