“We interrupt our regularly scheduled program to bring you some breaking news”
The TV spoke out as two reporters sit over an oak desk and show footage of the battle that followed.
“Police reported a sniper over by Canterlot High’s concert area, where he made an attempt at the life of a teenage girl. Her name is not released to the public to protect her. Police responded to this by sending in a counter-sniper. Only a few people have been injured in the ensuing chaos, and one was critically injured by the sniper.” A man with a dirty Sanchez, a blue tuxedo, and a red tie said.
“Reports say that the person was stabilized soon after arriving at the hospital. Reports also say that the sniper was neutralized. What he wanted with killing an innocent girl and terrorizing a high school is beyond anyone’s guess.” A woman with bright red lipstick, a red suit and a pink blouse said.
“It seemed coincidental that this took place so soon after the Fall Formal incident.” The man in the blue tuxedo shook his head.
The TV was soon shut off. A man with moderate raspberry skin wearing a jet black biker jacket with a silver nose ring sat on the chair, cleaning the barrel of his sniper rifle.
“Maybe it wasn’t the best idea to use the laser sight.” A wry, olden voice rang out. The man turned to see a man sporting a goatee and wearing a tuxedo made from various colored fabrics sewn together to weave a monstrosity of a tuxedo.
“And what are you doing here?” The near-red, muscular biker asked him.
“Oh, nothing. Just wanted to see how you’d fare in this game. You attracted quite a few players.” The man instantly created a chess board with the pieces being models of all the people who took part in the event, including the biker being one of the rooks. The pieces moved according the events of the battle, including one of the pawns getting blown to pieces by what looked to be gunfire. “Including this poor young gent.” He said.
“Just a small piece for my inevitable conquest.” The biker said.
“Why were you after Rainbow Dash?” He asked.
“Why else? You said it yourself. She’s one of six keys needed to fulfill my downfall.” The biker said.
“No, you mistook what I said. I said that she’s was part of your downfall. Killing her might not instantly fix the problem. Even then, it was just a vision of you from another life. Another world!” The man said before a bolt of fire flew to him. He split in half to dodge it.
“SILENCE!” He roared. “All I know is that she’s an obstacle in a maze that I must clear!” He blew into the barrel.
“Very well. I don’t suppose you’re going to try again with your attempt? I mean, you’re not just gonna have a sandwich and suddenly see Rainbow Dash and her friends driving by the place you’re eating at.” He chuckled.
“I’m going to have to. The night is young, snake.” The Sniper got up and went off, rifle in hand.
“Very well, Tirek. I wish you the best of luck.” Discord faded away, leaving behind only his grin before it too disappeared.
“Hey guys, did I miss anything?” Psyga said as he reached the hospital to meet up with the cops.
