the townsfolk seemed wary but that was to be expected, only foals normally set fire to things, usually when trying to cook.
 
they brought him up to a carriage, hooking themselves into it ready to take off.

you break through the foliage, seeing the forest to be quite large, dotted with a few ruins, but in the distance you also spot a small town with what looks like a giant crystal tree.

the ruins caught your eye repeatedly, something was in that place, something important.

one might think the concept of slowing down and putting your feet under yourself was not so easily forgotten, but instinct at least prevented him from going particularly splat.
 
the ruins felt familiar, eerily so. a mural depicting the sun and moon had been carved over the barely still standing entrance archway.

he looks at the sun and the moon and he has a flashback of…some… Pony if pure white…and one if pure darkness and nightmare the nightnare…felt familiar

in the main room you find a small crater, and at the bottom a strange misty wisp just wavered around.

it responded to him readily, it was darkness, a small shard of it but pure, it didn’t speak so much as implant a piece of knowledge in him, he was an ascendant, and would in time be the elemental darkness personified. but he had to assemble more pieces like this to do so.

he felt calm and collect….Darkness he has another flashback this one more jagged and distored but. It was a white land…white rocky land.  
Gah!….i will find out these memories. I will.

it looks to have been meant for a newborn… but featured a larger bed as well, a comfortable crescent moon shaped number, and probably enchanted because it still looked new.
