Like when Meghan “confirmed” that Twilight wouldn’t outlive her friends? Well, I suppose that’s still possible…

I kinda wish Scoots could’ve been an orphan. But I don’t mind, because Gallus exists and he’s a pretty damn great orphan character in his own right.

Quite frankly confirming anything over twitter instead of giving explanations in the show is just lazy and just tells me they never thought anything through. But at this point, now that the show’s over so it’s really the best we answer we can get

Given her parents are kind of ass, and her living situation is more of a mess than it needs to be, honestly I’d rather have that. Really she should have been with her aunts this whole time, instead of making things more complicated than it needs to be

I prefer Gallus being an orphan over Scootaloo being an orphan cause it looks more believable given where he’s from and his nature.

(Wild Mass Guessing) Maybe Lightning Dust had decided to take her show outside of Equestria and missed the whole debacle. We know the Saddle Arabians are in the market for big impressive shows.

Well, that hasn’t exactly been debunked. Maybe this is denial on my part, but I don’t think Twilight is going to live on for ages upon ages upon ages. I thought the finale more or less implied that Luster Dawn is going to go down the same road Twilight did, which will involve her becoming an alicorn princess someday and then eventually taking Twilight’s place. And once Twilight gives up the throne, she may become mortal again.
 
(sigh) Poor Spike is still going to end up all alone, though.

And yeah, Scootaloo not living with her aunts until she suddenly does makes no sense.
 
(What makes no sense about Gallus is that hes’ educated enough to attend school.)

That last bit is why all the attempts to make Twilight mortal seem pointless, to me. And it’s not exactly proven that Celestia and Luna aren’t very much still around, anyway.

Grandpa Gruff clearly cares about Gallus. He probably gave Gallus some kind of education.
 
Gruff’s behaviour with him is one of my favourite little running things honestly. He thinks making friends is a waste of time, but a cute look from Gallus makes him change his mind. He refuses to give Gallus verbal support, but demands that Gabby keep constant tabs on him.

Celestia and Luna are probably still aging from where they left off.

It’s harder-hitting too, since an Equestrian orphan would still likely have some kind of supportive family structure… and look at that! We already have a CMC who fits the bill!
 
No, what I wanted Scootaloo to have was a single parent. Guess I’ll have to settle for Starlight…

I dunno. Suddenly, I’m wondering if Celestia/Luna’s “retirement” was really about making themselves mortal so they could die off naturally. Maybe they’re tired of living forever.

Perhaps. Or perhaps they suddenly discovers they were dying, and needed to set their affairs in order. But there is no evidence for (or against) such, save the sunset at the end of the last episode.

I’m going with Celestia wants to quit after eleven centuries on the throne, and Luna can’t really rule alone because of her dream world duties. Luna keeps doing her thing while keeping her sister company.
