That was the dumbest part to be honest. The whole thing with the trade event was that if both parties weren’t satisfied the trade was null and void. So the trade should’ve been null the moment Rainbow decided against it. Yet they had to do that big thing about nullifying the trade?

Plus, I loved their relationship and interactions with each other. Rarity and Applejack’s wasn’t bad, but it awfully reminded me of “Look Before You Sleep”, an episode that I didn’t like.
She did volunteer, but it was a stipulation of the trade that Fluttershy be pulled from her life to serve somebody else for an undetermined period of time. I’m honestly surprised a deal like that is even legal.

At least Rainbow Dash regretted it quickly and begged Twilight to call off the trade. If that’s not character development, then I don’t know what is.
We need an episode about Shining Armor and Twilight just being siblings. Shining in particular could use the character development that would come with such an episode.
In terms of cuteness, bats are above normal ponies which are equal to deer which are better than robotpones and planeponies which are better than griffons and zebras. Custom species and hybrids range but tend to be on the lower end of the spectrum
