The first 2 seasons of the show are overrated.

Celestia and Luna look better when they’re not wearing their royal regalia.

Not sure where the “Sandbar crossdressing” trend came from, but I don’t particularly care for it.

Season 2 is. Season 1 unfortunately fell into the “early installment weirdness” trap.

I mean, I’m not saying that that’s a bad thing at all and I still appreciate the earlier seasons.

It’s unpopular opinion thread. Anything counts as long as you avoid being a duck.
 
I don’t know why those seasons are overrated. Maybe it’s just the slice of life nature of the first one and the fact that in the second one the producers tried to experiment in some other aspects but overall most of my favorite episodes come from seasons 1-4. _{And maybe I also like how in those seasons the mane 6 didn’t suffer from badass decay anyway.}

Season 5 I liked it more than season 2

Season 1 and 2 didn’t produce nearly as many knockout episodes as people will try and make it seem and are easily on par with the later seasons.

Anyways, Seasons 5 & 7 are tied for favorite season to me.

I find it funny whenever there’s a tag with a lot of hits but it’s almost all from like one source. Like Blue Nile’s tag; 81 hits as of right now but only 4 from screencaps. The rest is from comics by one guy.

Season 1-2 got me into this series. I’m very sure Season 5-8 would me just look and go away.  
Season 3-4 is gray area.

It definitely makes them seem more vulnerable and approachable, since it implies that they’re not on duty at the time.

Daniel Ingram is a really good composer. But it feels like recently, his talents haven’t been utilized as well.

Mine would be 4th season.
