Season 8 Episode Discussion [Spoilers, possible leaks, rumours etc.]

1. Continuity to previous seasons. Hard to Say anything as well as Dungeons and Discords. If i remember correctly only one of them was written by COnfalone so its good to see that writers watch and study eachothers episodes. Confalone also seen previous Discord episodes and noticed that Discord’s attachment to Fluttershy is more than platonic. Something that would be easily missed by newcomer writer if he only saw like first episodes of Discord.
    
2. Dynamic dialogues. Characters speak to eachother like actual buddies, make ironic comments and jokes. There are no awkard pauses between every sentnece like in some other episodes where dialouges feel artificial or like exposition.
    
3. THE BEST THING that i REALLY appreciate in this episode is god damn pacing and actual filling the story with content. What the weaker writers like GM Berrow do when their script is too short? They do the overall - “Main character repeat the jokes with rest of mane6 or extra characters” like for example Dash is filling the story with her pranking mane6 and extra other ponies until theres time to move on with plot, Pinkie overreact with Cadance secret in Pinkie Pie Knows for another 5 extra minutes etc.  
   But what is happening here? A B PLOT! We have extra 5 minutes and Confalone adds CMC and create their mini arc for extra entertainment and feels. We could have more time being spent on Spike and Discord cheering Big Mac but why tire down one single joke when you can add more dynamic and develop more characters in 22 minute episode? This was a great move.
    
   This is why Confalone should replace Josh Haber as a story ediotr for S8 and G5. He get the characters and the lore. He follow the episodes and even read books and comics. He also knows how to write episodes and has much more experience than Haber.
